Acupuncture is a system of health care whose roots can be traced back at least 5000 years. Acupuncture works by analyzing and addressing the strength and presence of a component of the bodies’ energy called "chi." Chi is the energy which creates and sustains all life. It is that same energy which will separate from your body when life ends.

Chester County Herbs and Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine sterile disposable needles into specific points on the body to improve energy, relieve stress, alleviate pain and improve function.
Oriental Medicine refers to the energy force running throughout the body as Qi (roughly pronounced Chee). Qi travels throughout the body along "Meridians" or special pathways. Energy constantly flows up and down these pathways. A person's health is influenced by the flow of Qi in the body. If the flow of Qi is insufficient, unbalanced or interrupted, illness may occur. Acupuncture is used to restore balance to the Qi and to promote healing.
